Real Madrid target Donnarumma rejects new AC Milan deal
AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma has decided not to renew his current deal with the Italian club.
The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the best young goalkeepers in European football and has attracted interest from top clubs including Real Madrid and Juventus.
His current deal with AC Milan expires next summer.
AC Milan's GM Marco Fassone made this known after meeting with the player's agent Mino Raiola.
Raiola has informed me of Donnarumma's decision not to renew
Fassone said via La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is his final decision.
We were sure that he was the goalkeeper for the new AC Milan, the pillar on which we would build, but now we must rethink our future.

This will come as good news to Real Madrid that have seen the player as an alternative to David De Gea. Madrid have tried to sign the Manchester United goalkeeper for the past two seasons, but haven't been able to land the Spanish number one.
Considering his situation at AC Milan now, Donnarumma could be a cheaper and better choice.
It remains to be seen if Milan will cash in on the player, or allow him leave for free next summer.
