Real Madrid confirm Dani Ceballos deal


Real Madrid have confirmed that an agreement has reached with Real Betis for the transfer of midfielder Dani Ceballos to the capital club.

Real Betis president confirmed days ago that the 20 year old has rejected a new deal from the club in anticipation of a move to Real Madrid. Negotiations however took longer than earlier expected.

The  player has now signed the dotted lines.

Real Madrid C. F. and Real Betis Balompié have agreed the transfer of Dani Ceballos, who has signed a six-year contract with the club.

Real Madrid announced on the club's website.

He will be unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday, 20th July, 1pm local time.

He will join up with the rest of the squad in America on  Friday, 21st July for the team's preseason tour of the United States.

Ceballos won the player of the tournament award at the just concluded European Under-21 championship.

Real Madrid beat Barcelona to the signing of the player. The deal is reportedly worth €17m.  The player will join up the likes of Marco Asensio, Marcos Llorente and Jesus Vallejo who were all his teammates at the European Championship.
