Real Madrid 3-2 Malaga: Fans react

Real Madrid laboured to an unconvincing 3-2 win over Malaga to close the gap on Barcelona to seven points, as the table-toppers play Valencia on Sunday.

The Los Blancos came into the game on the back of a 6-0 in over APEL in the Champions League on Tuesday and started the game on a bright note as Benzema headed in from close range after Ronaldo’s header came off the crossbar in the seventh minute.

Nine minutes later Diego Rolan equalised for the visitors after a defensive error by Real Madrid, which started from a Toni Kroos misplaced pass. The German, however, turned provider when his well-taken corner kick located Casemiro who headed in to restore Madrid’s lead.

Malaga scored again in the 59th minute, as Kiko Casilla failed to effectively deal with a Gonzalo Castro’s shot and only parried the ball into his net.

Luis Hernandez then fouled Luka Modric in the box, and Cristiano Ronaldo had to be alert to score from a rebound after his initial spot-kick was saved by the Malaga goalkeeper.

The Portuguese star then scored a late goal that was wrongly ruled out as offside.
