Cristiano Ronaldo suggests club sign this new player for him to remain at Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly recommended a new player for Real Madrid to sign to keep him at the Spanish club.

The Portuguese is currently facing a court case from the Spanish treasury, after he was accused of evading taxes. This has made the current World footballer of the year angry. Ronaldo is said to be angry at Madrid for not defending him enough, and believes that certain forces wants him out of Spain.

According to reports, the 32 year old wants to leave Real Madrid after helping the club to the double last season. 

Ronaldo signed his latest deal with Madrid late last year and president Florentino Perez has said he will talk to the player after the Confederations Cup. But insisted that it will take something special for Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid.

However according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Ronaldo has imposed a signing to Florentino Perez to continue in Real Madrid.

The player Ronaldo wants Madrid to sign is fellow countryman Gelson Martins.


According to the report, Ronaldo is not ready to leave Madrid.

The 22 year old Sporting Lisbon’s winger has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester United.

Martins is the new wing product of Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese side have produced the likes of C. Ronaldo himself, Luis Figo, Nani and Ricardo Quaresma.

The young winger has risen through the ranks of the Portuguese age teams and is currently with the Portugal squad to the ongoing Confederations Cup. He's made two substitute appearances in Portugal's first two games.

A strong, highly physical and skilful player, the 22 year old can play on either wing and as a right back.

He featured in a Champions League match for Sporting against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in September last year and impressed. Despite his team's 2-1 loss. He won the man of the match award and caused a lot of problems for Marcelo.

He scored six goals in the Portuguese League last season and had nine assist to his credit. The highest in the league.
