Positive news as Bale and Carvajal getting closer to return

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has given some positive news about the progress made by some injured players within the Real Madrid squad.

Right back Dani Carvajal last played for the team in the 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League late last month after which he suffered a heart infection that has kept him out of action since. The 25 year old is however close to returning to training.

Dani (Carvajal) is doing well. He’s undergone tests and they’re positive. Today he’s started to ride a bike and now his recovery will take time, but he’s healthy and I’m happy about that. He’ll have to go through the recovery process so let's see.
The Real Madrid gaffer told the club's website ahead of Real's Copa dey Rey round of 32 clash with Fuenlabrada

In Carvajal's absence, Morocoean youngster Arhcaf has started three games in a row, and is in line for another start tonight.

Bale, 28 has been out of action due to the same recurring calf injury, since scoring a stunner against Dortmund last month. The Welshman faces a race against time to be fit for the November 1 clash between Real Madrid and his former team Tottenham at Wembly. Even though the winger has returned to the field training, Zidane has refused to say in clear terms if Bale will be fit for the game in London

Bale is already on the field, almost ready to train with the team, but I can’t give you a date for when he’ll be back.

Bale missed the last two qualifiers for his country as they fail to qualify for Russia 2018.

Hopefully in the next few weeks, both players will return to action, and Zidane will have a full squad to select from.
