Real Madrid and Ceballos release official statements on his injury
Real Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Dani Caballos suffered a 'light neck sprain' while on duty with the Spanish under 21 team.
The 21 year old was substituted in the 85th minute and taken in an ambulance to the hospital.
"The medical team for the Spanish under-21s have announced that Dani Ceballos "suffered a light neck sprain after the test carried out at the Hospital Virgen de la Salud in Toledo. The player's situation will be monitored over the next 48 hours." Was the official statement released by Real Madrid on the club's website.
The player himself has however assured fans that he is fine describing the injury as a 'scare'. He posted on his Instagram page
“Happy after our win and the good feelings we had. Thank you everybody for your support, luckily enough it was just a scare. Now let’s keep going.”
He will remain with the team till the end of the International break.
Caballos joined Real Madrid this summer from Real Betis and is one of the best prospects in Spanish football.
