4-3-3: Predicted Real Madrid starting eleven to face APOEL: Ronaldo plays as 9

Real Madrid will hope the return of C. Ronaldo can spur the team back to winning ways after two straight draws in the league. 

Zidane's men begin the defence of their Champions League title against Cyprus side Apoel. Zidane has a number of key players returning into the starting eleven for the match.

Keylor Navas should return to the post for Madrid after been rested for the match against Levante over the weekend.

Carvajal should keep his place at right back. Sergio Ramos is one of the few guaranteed starters in the team and brings a lot of control and stability to the defence. He should start at centre back. 

Varane missed the game over the weekend, but his partnership with Ramos has been impressive over the few games they've played together this season. Varane should return to the starting eleven in place of Nacho. Marcelo keeps his place at left back. 

Casemiro and Luka Modric are some  of the key returning players and both should start in  the midfield. Toni Kroos played against Levante and should keep his place in the starting eleven.

Gareth Bale has been misfiring over the last few games, but benefits from the absence of Asensio and should start. Isco's form has been impressive and his confidence is currently high. He also should start alongside Bale on either wing for Madrid.

Ronaldo should start as tube team's top striker in Benzema's absence.
