Lewandowski, Messi and C. Ronaldo lead race for 2017 European golden boot award
Cristiano Ronaldo added to his goal tally on Wednesday as he scored the first goal for Real Madrid as the Los Blancos came from behind to defeat Al Jazira 2-1 at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup. The goal took Ronaldo's goals for the year 2017 to 52, one behind Lionel Messi and Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker also scored on Wednesday as Bayern defeated Köln 1-0.
Apart from this trio, two other strikers have scored 50 goals or more in 2017. They are Edinson Cavani and Harry Kane.
