4-3-3: Predicted Real Madrid starting eleven Vs Manchester United: Bale, Benzema to start

Real Madrid will try to put a disappointing pre-season run-out behind them when they travel to Skopje, Macedonia to play Manchester United in the UEFA Super Cup. Real Madrid won the Cup last year, and will be seeking to become the first team to win the Cup back to back.

Nothing much has changed about the outlook of the main core of the Real Madrid squad. There have more high profile exits than entries of players so far at the Bernabeu this season.
Judging by the players’ performance in the pre-season, and their performance over time, here’s how we think Real Madrid will line up against United.

Keylor Navas starts in goal. The Costa Rican has established himself as the first choice at Real Madrid.

Marcelo starts at left back. The Brazilian is undoubtedly currently the best left back in European football. The duo of Sergio Ramos and Varane should start at centre back. With Danilo’s exit Carvajal should start at right back.

The midfield trio of Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have been key to Real Madrid’s success in recent years and they should start in the midfield.

Gareth Bale and Benzema have featured in most pre-season matches and are the most experienced fully fit attackers in the squad.  Both players would carry the team’s goal scoring responsibility. Marco Asensio has distinguished himself as a highly promising young player within the Real Madrid squad.  He should start ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo who is a huge doubt for the match considering his lack of playing time during the pre-season, because of an extended break.
