Real Madrid and Barcelona in double header ahead of next season

Real Madrid and arch rival Barcelona will play each other three times before the next La liga season kicks off.

Real Madrid won the La liga title two weeks ago, after a last day win over Elbar. And were the first team to be guaranteed a place in next season curtain raiser, the  Spanish Supercopa.

Barcelona won their only title of the season on Saturday, the Copa del Ray on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Alaves.

Both teams have been scheduled to play each other in a preseason match in Miami on July 29. And will again play each other in the Spanish Supercopa.

The Supercopa is a two legged match that kicks off a new Spanish football season. This year both legs will be played in August. The first leg will be played at at Camp Nou and the second leg at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are still in the hunt for the double, as they play Juventus in the Champions League final on Saturday, June 3.
