Real Madrid have already switched their attention to the Champions League. Zidane's team began preparing for Wednesday's match against Borussia Dortmund (8:45pm CET), corresponding to the last game in the Group Stage. The main story in the first session of the week was Marco Asensio’s return to the group.
A statement on the club's website reads.

His return to training means he could be in contention to start against Dortmund, as Real Madrid have already booked their place in the second round of the Champions League.

Zidane may be tempted to rest key players against Dortmund, as Real Madrid face a tough test against Sevilla in their next La Liga outing on Saturday.

One player who will miss the Dortmund game is Dani Carvajal. The right-back got his fifth yellow card of the Champions League campaign against APOEL, a booking that triggers an automatic one-match ban.
