Real Madrid eyeing Manchester City star - Report
Real Madrid are reportedly looking at the possibility of signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine forward moved to England from city rivals Atletico in 2011. The 29 year old has since established himself as a City legend, and is currently the club's highest goal scorer with 179 goals.
Manchester City were close to signing Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez last summer, and the Citizens are still interested in landing the Chilean, whose current deal with the Gunners expires at the end of this season. This means City can sign Sanchez for free.
According to Don Balon, Real Madrid are monitoring the situation at City and will make a move if City sign Sanchez. Manchester City's capture of Sanchez will put Aguero's place under threat and Florentino Perez is looking to capitalize on any imbalances caused by the move.
The Real Madrid president has been a long term admirer of the Argentine, and is reportedly ready to offer £60m to lure his target to the Bernabeu.
This is coming at a time Real Madrid have struggled for goals, Ronaldo and Benzema have scored just one La Liga goal each this season, and the 0-0 draw at Atletico on Saturday further highlights the lack of firepower upfront for the Los Blancos. Gareth Bale has also struggled with injuries in recent times as the likes of Asensio and Isco have not been consistent enough to provide the needed goals to win games.
