Confirmed Real Madrid squad for 2017 FIFA Club World Cup
Real Madrid have announced the 23 man squad for the upcoming World Club Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Real Madrid are the defending Champions of the competition.
The Los Blancos qualify for this year's tournament as the winners of the Champions League, and are the first defending champions to qualify for the subsequent tournament.
Confirmed Real Madrid squad:
Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla and Moha.
Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Theo Hernandez and Achraf,
Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Lucas Vázquez, Marcos Llorente, Marco Asensio, Isco, Matteo Kovacic and Dani Ceballos.
Attackers: Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Borja Mayoral.
The only surprise in the squad is the inclusion of Achraf ahead of Jesus Vallejo. Achraf has however been impressive in the few games he's played for the first team this season. Vallejo on the other hand has struggled to stay fit, as he has battled with injuries this season.
This year's competition comes up in Abu Dhabi between December 6 and 16.
Real Madrid will join the seven team competition at the semifinal stage.
