No January signings for Real Madrid

Real Madrid's  director general José Ángel Sánchez, has revealed that the club has no plan to sign any player in the coming January transfer window, but also admits the final decision lies with Zidane.

The  Los Blancos have struggled for goals this season. Cristiano Ronaldo was suspended for the first four League games, Benzema has missed a couple of matches due to injury, and the Frenchman is yet to hit top form. Gareth Bale is currently recuperating, and hasn't also hit top gear.

As it however stands, the Real Madrid hierarchy have planned to close shop come January.

We don't have plans to do any deals in January. In any case, that would be a question for the manager of the team, but we are not focusing on the January transfer market.

The Real Madrid director said  while on an assignment to boost the club's image in China this week via AS.

We have no intention of signing anyone, it's the truth.

He added.

That means the club is suspending all major arrivals till the end of the season.

Last season, Real Madrid sold Alvaro Moratta to Chelsea, and also loaned James Rodriguez to Bayern, without any main signing to replace the duo.

The January transfer window is usually a difficult time to get top players for the right price. Most clubs will be reluctant to let key players leave, as there is just a slim chance of getting the perfect replacement.
