Harry Kane returns to training; Pochettino hopeful he'll feature against Madrid

Tottenham's talismanic forward Harry Kane trained with the rest of the squad today as the London side prepares to host Real Madrid tomorrow. The Englishman will however face a late assessment to determine if he will play or not.

The 25 year old has missed Tottenham's last two matches - defeats against West Ham and Manchester United because of a minor hamstring strain.

The Spurs manager is however hoping the Englishman will be fully fit to face Madrid.

Harry will be on the (squad) list. We have one more day to assess him but today he was good in training. He trained with the group and was good, at the same level of the team.

Pochettino told the club's website in his pre match conference ahead of the match.

Now we need to know the feeling from him tonight and tomorrow and then take the best decision for him, first of all, and then the team.

We’re happy. To avoid a risk in the last two games was good for him and we hope he will be in 100 per cent condition to play.

One player who will for sure return for Tottenham is Dele Ali. The 21 year old was suspended for the first three matches of the Champions League.

His combination with Kane has been key for Tottenham over the past two seasons, and the Real Madrid defence without Varane will have their hands full against the duo if they play.
