4-3-3: Predicted Real Madrid starting eleven vs Levante: Asensio and Isco to start
Real Madrid will resume their La Liga title defence today when they host Levante. The team could only manage a 2-2 draw against Valencia in their last league outing.
Majority of the players in their first team are just returning from international duties, and Zidane has taken a bold step of resting some key players. Keylor Navas and Luka Modric are not in the match day squad. Varane, who returned to training on Friday is not also included in the squad.
In Navas' absence, Casilla will start in goal.
Carvajal is the most experienced right back in the team currently and should start at right back. Jesus Vallejo is back in the match day squad, but a start looks unlikely.
Sergio Ramos' leadership and coordination was missed against Valencia. Ramos should partner Nacho at centre back. Theo Hernandez has been in some match day squads, and is not a stranger to the league. He should start at left back, giving Marcelo a resting opportunity.
Kovacic is Luka Modric's best replacement in the starting eleven, and the Croatian should start alongside Toni Kroos and Casemiro in the midfield. Expect the likes of Ceballos and Llorente to make substitute appearance.
On the attack, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale haven't been impressive lately. Asensio and Isco have been pressing for more playing time with scintillating displays for both country and club.
Asensio should start on the right, while Isco starts on the left, replacing Bale. Benzema keeps his place upfront as the team's main striker.
