Zidane rules out new arrivals this summer

Zinedine Zidane has given the clearest indication that Real Madrid won't be signing any new player this summer.

Captain Sergio Ramos is ruled out of Sunday's clash against Valencia as he was sent off in the match against Deportivo.  Fellow centre back Raphael Varane is carrying a knock and will not play tomorrow.

Jesus Vallejo is still on his way back to full fitness and isn't in contention, leaving Nacho as the only fit available centre back going into the match.  But Zidane is hopeful situations like this won't occur again.

We have four centre-halves and we do not need more. I do not think such injuries will happen again. Both Casemiro and Marcos Llorente can play there. Tomorrow let's see what happens.

Zidane said at his pre-match press conference ahead of the match against Valencia.

Real Madrid sold Alvaro Morata to Chelsea, and also let James Rodriguez leave for Bayern Munich on a two year loan. This has promoted suggestions that the team may need reinforcements in attack.  Zidane has opened up that he will be counting on young forward Borja Mayoral when the time comes ruling out any move for another player.

I don't need more players, look at the squad we have. We are ready.

I'll be counting on Mayoral and will do throughout the year. He has to learn and be ready for when his opportunity comes up, which it will. We'll give him a shot when the moment is right.

Zidane added.

Real Madrid have signed left back Theo Hernandez from City rivals Atletico Madrid. Dani Ceballos also joined from Real Betis while Jesus Vallejo who joined Real in 2015, but has spent the last two seasons away on loan at Real Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt was unveiled this summer and replaces the departed Pepe.

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for AS Monaco talisman Kylian Mpabe, it however looks that the Frenchman won't be moving to the Bernabeu, not this summer at least.
