Zidane nominated for '2017 FIFA coach of the year' award
The Real Madrid manager has been nominated alongside eleven other coaches by FIFA for the coach of the year award for 2017.
Zidane led Madrid to a historic double, winning the La Liga and Champions League. As Real became the first team to win the Champions League back to back.
This season, Real Madrid have won the UEFA Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. Real defeated Barcelona 3-1 in the first leg at Camp Nou, before a 2-0 win at the Bernabeu.

- Antonio Conte (Chelsea)
- Luis Enrique (Barcelona)
- Pep Guardiola (Manchester City)
- Leonardo Jardim (Monaco)
- Joachim Low (Germany)
- Jose Mourinho (Manchester United)
- Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur)
- Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)
- Tite (Brazil)
The list will be trimmed down to a final three next month after which a winner will be announced in a FIFA gala on October 23 in London.
Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri beat Zidane to the award last year, after leading The Foxes to an unprecedented Premier League title.
