Sir Alex Ferguson predicts continued Real Madrid dominance
The former Manchester United manager has predicted that Real Madrid will continue to dominate European football for the next three or four years, but on one condition.
Real Madrid have won three Champions League titles in the last four years, and became the first team to defend the title, winning it last season. Zidane's men also won the La Liga, which put them at the submit of both European and Spanish football.
"Real Madrid make it very complicated for others to win." Sir Alex, who chaired this year's annual UEFA elite coaching forum this week in Nyon, Swartlizand said.
"If they are united for the next three or four seasons they will continue to dominate." He added.
The annual UEFA elite coaching forum is a gathering of top coaches in European club football.
This year, coaches invited to the forum by UEFA have more than 100 UEFA Champions League appearances, or are coaches of clubs that participated in last season’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 and beyond, or that took part in last season’s UEFA Europa League semi-finals or final. These managers and some selected former players come together to discus about diverse issues on European club football.
Real Madrid manager, Zinédine Zidane was in attendance. Other managers present are José Mourinho, Massimiliano Allegri, Louis van Gaal, Unai Emery, Rafael BenÃtez and a host of others.
