4-3-3: Predicted Real Madrid starting XI vs Deportivo: Isco, Bale to start
Real Madrid will seek to start their La Liga defence on a winning note when they travel to Deportivo for their La Liga opener on Sunday evening.
Zidane has had a feel of his team in competitive games with wins over Manchester United and Barcelona in a two legged tie in the Supercopa. The Frenchman knows the core of his team and wouldn’t be sweating over selection going into this match.
Kelor Navas has cemented his place as the team’s first choice goalkeeper and starts in goal.
Dani Carvajal is the first choice right back and should start. The duo of Varane and Sergio Ramos are developing a strong centre back combination and understanding and deserve to start. Marcelo starts at left back.
The trio of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro have established themselves as the Real Madrid’s best combination in the midfield, and should start. Kovacic was impressive in the two legs against Barcelona, and would be pushing for a start, but with Casemiro and Modric fit, a place on the bench is almost certain for the Croatian.
Marco Asensio and Isco are players in the attack who will be pushing for places in the starting eleven after impressive starts to the season.
Gareth Bale didn’t start the second leg of the Supercopa clash against Barcelona and will be fresher. That would give him an edge over Isco and Asensio.
Isco however has shown to be more effective and is more experienced and should start alongside Bale and Benzema. He starts on the wing and can always drift into a more centre attacking role to change the formation to a 4-4-2 depending on play.
