Donnarumma to remain at AC Milan next season

AC Milan have opened up that goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will not be allowed to leave the club this summer, despite his refusal to sign a new deal.

Donnarumma's current deal expires at the end of next summer, and the club is left with the option of selling the goalkeeper this summer or allowing him leave for free next summer.

Real Madrid and Juventus have established their interest in the 18 year old, that has emerged as one of the best young goalkeeper in European football.

"He is a great champion and a great kid and there is no doubt that he will be playing for AC Milan next season," club sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli said.

Donnarumma became a target for Real Madrid after the club's long but futile chase of David de Gea.

Donnarumma is a cheaper and younger option compared to the Spaniard. Madrid could get him free next summer.

Coach Zinadane Zidane is reportedly contended with Navas as the club's first choice goalkeeper for next season.
