Zidane hints at Gareth Bale return
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has stated in clear terms that Gareth Bale should be back within the next four days, which could make him available for selection for Real Madrid’s next La Liga outing.
The 28 year old has suffered an injury plagued career at
Real Madrid, and missed a good portion of last season due to injury.
His last appearance for the Los Blancos this season was in
the Champions League back in September against Borussia Dortmund, where he
scored a goal. He limped off late in the game with a calf muscle problem which
was made public a week later by the medical team in Wales while he was on international
duty. The Welshman then returned to Madrid to start his recovery.
He suffered another setback when the club reported last Thursday
that he had strained a muscle, and could be out for much longer.
Bale is ruled out of the Madrid derby scheduled for this
Sunday, but could be in the squad to face Malaga next week. Zidane gave the
good news while speaking ahead of the Madrid derby.
I'm frustrated because he (Bale) wants to help the team. That's the most annoying thing. I don't think it's anything serious. I think he'll be out for three or four days and he'll be back fit. I'm sure he'll come back stronger than ever and I hope he'll be 100% next week and fit for the rest of the season.
Bale's anticipated return means Zidane will have the (BBC)
trio lead the attack soon for the team. Bale, Benzema and C. Ronaldo haven’t featured
much for Real Madrid collectively this season, as either injury or suspension
has kept one of them out at different times.
