Inter Milan star will reject Real Madrid call
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has said he wouldn't be in a haste to answer Real Madrid if the Los Blancos come calling.
The Argentine has been in scintillating form for the Nerazzurri and scored a brace in their 3-1 win over Cagliari on Saturday.
In contrast to Icardi's form, Real Madrid attackers have struggled for goals this season. Ronaldo and Benzema scored their second league goal of the season in the team's 3-2 win over Malaga. Asensio and Isco are Real Madrid's top scorers this season with four goals each.
Real Madrid have been linked with a number of strikers and Icardi is one of them.
The man at the centre of it all has however opened up.
I am relaxed, I am only making the most of the work of the whole team. We are in November and it is still early to talk about transfers.
He said via Calciomercato.
If I'd ever receive a call from Madrid, I wouldn't reply; there are other people in charge of it.
The 24 year old has scored 15 goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season.
Inter Milan are not playing in the Champions League and so he will be eligible to play for Real Madrid in the latter stages of the competition if signed in January.
