Marcelo extends Real Madrid contract
Brazilian left back Marcelo has agreed to extend his deal with Real Madrid. The new deal will see the 29 year old stay at Real Madrid till 2022.
The club have announced that the signing will take place on Thursday, a day after the team's Champions League match with APOEL.
Marcelo joined Real Madrid from Brazilian side Fluminese in 2007, when he was just 18 year old. He is one of the longest serving player in the current squad. He has made 415 caps for Real Madrid scoring 28 goals.
He has enjoyed a highly successful career at Madrid, that has seen him win four La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues, two FIFA World Club Cup and one Copa del rey.
