Confirmed Real Madrid squad for 2017/18 Champions League

UEFA has made public the 25 man squad teams participating in this season's submitted for their group stage matches.

For Real Madrid, there was no surprise omission. And impressively, Zidane named a good number of players from the B team.

Here's the Real Madrid squad:

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla, Luca Zidane.

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Jesus Vallejo, Marcelo, Theo Hernandez, Alvaro Tejero, Luismi Quezada, Manu Hernando, Jose Leon Bernal.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Marcos Llorente, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, Isco, Dani Ceballos, Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio.

Attackers: Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Borja Mayoral, Dani Gomez, Franchu, Oscar.

Real Madrid have won the competition thrice within the last four years, and became the first team to retain the title by winning it last season.

Zidane's men will begin the defence of their title next Wednesday, when they host APOEL. Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund are the other teams in group H, a group that has been dubbed the 'group of death'.
